Military Unit Web Portal
Centralized personnel intranet, administrative workflow, and e-library template
Overview & Scope
Developed the Military Unit Web Portal, an intranet web application template built to streamline internal administrative communications, file distribution, and database tracking for command units.
Personnel Communication & Resource Management
In locally managed command environments, administrative workflows often suffer from scattered registers, manual notice updates, and paper-based tracking. This portal addresses these logistical challenges:
- Template-Driven Intranet: Designed using custom PHP, HTML, CSS, and MySQL to run entirely on private local networks. The codebase features a template-based architecture, allowing any subunit or command division to replicate and deploy the portal locally via configuration files.
- Consolidated Document Sharing: Serves as a secure local repository for duty schedules, pay statements, health bulletins (such as COVID-19 guidelines), and official notices.
- Administrative Ticketing & Email: Implements a local messaging routing framework and a help desk ticket system, enabling soldiers to raise administrative questions and receive direct responses.
- Reference Library Indexing: Features an integrated SQL-backed E-Library catalog, allowing personnel to search for cataloged references and check out items.
- camaraderie Features: Incorporates photo galleries and a unit-wide social calendar tracking events, birthdays, and anniversaries to support camaraderie.
